How can I learn more outside school?
To support your learning we have three main areas where you can learn more at home with your parents.
The Bug Club
The Bug Club is an electronic reading scheme. Books are allocated by your teacher every three weeks and you are expected to read the books and complete the game/comprehension assignments. Your teacher can see how you have got on and whether you have been successful.
My Maths is available to Year 2, 3 and 4. There are activities to complete often in timed conditions to improve your basic arithmetic skills.
For the younger children you have the Abacus site where there are plenty of fun games to support the work you are doing in class.
This site is useful to practice for your SATs tests.
Our Electronic Learning Platform
Each child has the opportunity to use their own learning space accessed through our website. This area is used by parents, pupils, governors and staff to communicate, share documents and find out more about what is going on in school.
Children access their own personalised learning platform, to communicate with their peers or their teacher, to complete their homework or find out more about classroom topics and to access their learning sites.
To enter this area you need to put your password and your username into the box on the top right-hand corner of the website called 'login'. If you have forgotten these talk to your teacher.
