Mrs Calvert's Weekly Message

Dear Parents

Thank you to all the families who attended our celebration assemblies. We had a huge turnout and are looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

To avoid confusion, the school day timings have stayed the same as before lockdown. If you came in at 8am, continue to do that, similarly if you came in at school time, continue to follow that routine. If your circumstances have changed, please do contact the office.

Here is a general reminder of our pick-up and drop off procedures but your class teacher will have given you more detailed information.

Foundation Main School  9am  2.45 - 3pm
Year 1 Church House  9am  2.50 - 3pm
Year 2 Church House  8.45am  3.05 - 3.15pm
Year 3 Church House  8.45am  3.05 - 3.15pm
Year 4  Main School  8.45am  3.05 - 3.15pm

All younger siblings leave school with their older brother or sister. This will be from the older siblings drop off/collection point. The exception to this is our foundation children where the siblings all leave together from the foundation stage drop off/collection point at the older children's collection time. The children who wait for their older brother or sister do so in their own classrooms. It is a military operation so do please arrive on time and not before the collection times because your parked car restricts the flow of traffic.  Remember children will still need a snack and water bottle and there will be a choice of warm grab bags or home/school packed lunch.

I am assuming that none of our families have anyone who has a positive result for Covid 19. If this is not the case, please contact the school. We continue to ask parents to be additionally vigilant and inform the school immediately if anyone in your family have symptoms. The same self-isolation measures are still to be followed by law.

There are lots of things to look forward to when we get back to school.

Maths Day associated with the Census is on Thursday 11th March
Literacy Day associated with World Book Day is on Thursday 18th March and
Science Day associated with STEM and enterprise is on Thursday 25th March

On Literacy Day children can come to school dressed as their favourite book character just as they would usually do for World Book Day. During our Science Day if we have any parents who would like to talk to their child's class about any scientific or entrepreneurial venture that would be great.

If you would like to celebrate Red Nose Day - 19th March, you can purchase a red nose from school. Please bring in your £1 and nearer this date your child will have a red nose in their rucksack.

Happy Bags are back on Wednesday 10th March. Please drop your bags just inside the main entrance first thing in the morning.

Kind regards
