An Author visits Braywood
To celebrate World Book Day we invited an author, Josh Lacey, into school. Josh read from his book ‘The Dragonsitter’ and then talked to the children about the mechanics of writing a book. Each class shared a workshop with him. More details can be found on his website http://joshlacey.com/
After this visit we mysteriously discovered an actual dragon's egg and we are waiting patiently until the dragon hatches. We are all writing about how this tiny dragon causes havoc at our school just like he did in Mr Lacey's book.
On World Book Day we will all be dressing up as our favourite book character and celebrating with our usual disco and sharing a book with our mum or dad.
