Mrs Calverts message

7th June 2022

Dear Parents,

Welcome back after what has been a very exhilarating Jubilee half term. The children have been telling their class teachers about all the exciting events they attended.

We are especially proud of our Mighty Oaks who won first prize in a craft competition and were awarded their prize money on the Long Walk during the Jubilee celebrations.

It is with great sadness that we are announcing that Miss Nicola Povey will be leaving us at the end of this academic year. She is a great teacher, and we will miss her greatly. Next year, Mrs Sarah Walker will be covering Year 4 class alongside Mrs Christine Clarke. There will be more details to follow in our newsletter.

Thank you to all the parents who supported our Jubilee Fun Run. Don't forget to get your sponsor money in asap. If anyone works for a company who would be prepared to ‘match fund’ this event, that would be much appreciated. Please do ask!

The next PTA event is our Summer Fair on Saturday 16th July from 11am to 2pm. This is an event where we do need support so, please put this date in the diary. See attached poster.

Everyone is invited to our Summer Concert 'Olivia' on 13th and 14th July at the Old Court in Windsor. Tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for children and all the proceeds go towards our school. It should be a lovely evening out.

Please remember there are no bikes, scooters, balls etc on the playground at pick up and drop off times. This is just to ensure everyone's safety.

There is an exciting new football club starting today for the girls in Year 2, 3 and 4 from 3.15-4.15pm. The best way to sign up is to email the office. If any families would be interested in an 'Active Family Programme' led by Windsor Sports Partnership for 6 weeks do please email admin@braywoodfirstschool.co.uk for details. This will involve the whole family.

Kind regards

Susan Calvert
