Mrs Calvert's message

Dear parents,

As we near the end of this term this email contains a few reminders. Please find attached the latest newsletter that was circulated a few weeks ago.

Today all the children have spent time in their new classrooms with the teacher they will have next year. We met our new children, and the Mighty Oaks had their transition day to their next school.

On Monday 11th July all the children's work will be available for parents to view after school. Your child's report will be given out at this meeting together with the data collection forms for next year. As we have school trips as soon as we come back it is important that parents check and amend these forms as soon as possible (and preferably during this time in school). These forms provide your permission for these trips to go ahead so please try to complete them during this meeting.

Thank you for all the contributions to the Summer Fayre. We are looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday 16th July between 11-2pm. There is a bouncing castle, a variety of stalls, lots of food and games for the children. If you can help on a stall that would be even better!

Sports Day is on Wednesday 21st July. The day starts with a family assembly outside in the playground at approximately 9am. Afterwards, the children go inside the classroom to get ready for their races and there will be refreshments for parents. Sports day usually starts between 10.15am and 10.45am. These races last for an hour and a half which brings us nicely to lunchtime. Parents are invited to bring a picnic and school closes between 1-2pm.

Next week is going to be really hot, please remember to put sun cream on your child and provide them with a hat.

There are a few changes next year such as blazers, start times, building work so there will be another newsletter coming out next week for your consideration.

Kind regards

Susan Calvert
